Spark IT Muncie is a series of workshops for students eager to learn about innovative technologies and tech entrepreneurship. Spark IT Muncie would not be possible without the George and Francis Ball Foundation for providing a grant to make our summer 2021 and 2022 workshops a reality. Techwise Academy, Raineman Solutions, and Innovation Connector also are key partners in this program.
The Summer 2022 Spark IT Weekend introduced the middle school students to the basics of starting a business using the three P’s: Plan, Prototype, and Presentation. At the end of the weekend, the student’s families were invited to come and watch as each student presented their start-up business idea.
Our Summer 2021 workshop series introduced students to programming, breadboards, drone kits, 3D printing, and so much more.
Stay tuned for more information about the Spark IT Muncie program. We hope to see the program continue to educate students in 2023.
Techwise Academy is dedicated to creating a generation of problem solvers and innovators through coding and computer science principles. From 2017 – 2020 we spent more than 100 volunteer hours each year teaching or assisting with coding in school corporations and not-for-profit organizations around East Central Indiana.
