Muncie Innovation Connector Representing East Central Indiana at Global Entrepreneurship Conference
The team at Innovation Connector is excited to participate in the 40th Annual International Conference on Business Incubation (ICBI40) hosted by the International Business Innovation Association from April 12th–15th, 2026, in Chicago.
The conference brings together entrepreneur support organizations, ecosystem builders, incubator leaders, and innovation professionals from around the world to share ideas and strategies that strengthen startup communities. Attendees exchange best practices, collaborate on solutions to common challenges, and build professional connections while exploring the host city’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Ted Baker Featured as Conference Speaker
Muncie Innovation Connector’s Ted Baker will be a featured speaker during the session:“Successful Ecosystem Development in Non-Traditional Communities”

Ted will join a panel of leaders from across the country to discuss how communities outside major tech hubs can build thriving entrepreneurial ecosystems. Panelists include:

During the session, the panel will explore strategies for supporting startups in regions that may not traditionally be known as innovation centers, highlighting the importance of partnerships, community collaboration, and resource development.
Innovation Connector’s work in Muncie and East Central Indiana provides a strong example of how smaller and mid-sized communities can successfully foster entrepreneurship, support startups, and help innovative companies grow.
Continuing Education for Incubator LeadershipIn addition to the speaking engagement, Muncie Innovation Connector’s Executive Director, Frank Scott, will be attending the conference and participating in an Incubator Management Course, designed to help leaders strengthen the operations and impact of entrepreneurship centers.
The program provides practical training on developing sustainable programs, managing incubator spaces, and supporting entrepreneurs effectively.
