ECI-Regional Planning District Names New Executive Director
July 10, 2014 – Muncie, IN – Pam Price has been named Executive Director of ECI-Regional Planning District. The decision was made by ECIRPD’s Board of Directors during their quarterly board meeting as part of a succession plan for President E. Roy Budd’s upcoming retirement.
“I’m pleased to be working for the District in this new position and excited for the challenges it will bring,” said Price.
Price began working for ECIRPD in June of 2011 as a Project Manager. She has successfully secured grants on behalf of ECIRPD from local, state and federal agencies that have helped to fund a great number of projects in the region.
Price has two decades of experience with local, state and federal government. She once served as the Community & Government Relations Director of the Muncie-Delaware Chamber of Commerce, spearheading the Chamber’s efforts to work with all levels of government on behalf of their members. Other previous experiences include working for the Chair of the Lee County (Florida) Board of County Commissioners, and for then-U.S. Congressman Porter Goss.
ECIRPD is a state designated, multi-county regional planning district whose mission is to serve the economic development, planning and grant development needs of Blackford, Delaware, Grant and Jay counties. The organization’s primary purpose is to help local governments advance economic growth and development in their communities. To do so, ECIRPD offers assistance with planning, strategic thinking and securing grants to aid in the funding of projects that better the region. With their help, local governments can create effective solutions to improve blighted areas in their communities.
